Once again a few defeats and poor performances and then were back with a very good win. Mcsweeney was outstanding today and deserved his ovation. Its lovely having someone who will get the ball and run straight at the opposition defence. Unlucky not to get a goal. Bjornnson was a class act. Touch, control, pass and vision of a player from a much higher division, amount of timees he played our players in for goalscoring chances was amazing. Cracking header for his goal and clearly thriving from the confidence and cheers he was getting. Started to put himself about more and more. Collins a rock as always at the back with a fantastic display. Well played all.

Flinders-7.5. Early fuck up but some great saves later on.
Austin-7.5. Brilliant player.
Hartley-7. Solid.
Collins-8.5. Brilliant.
Liddle-8. Great foil to Collins.
Humps-7.5. Thought he did very well today, nothing spectacular but very steady and kept it ticking over.
Sweeney-6. Better than usual but still doesnt offer enough.
Monks-7. Bit quiet for Monky but didnt receive too much of the ball.
Mcsweeney-8.5. Superb.
Boyd-8. Getting back to his best, lovely finish.
Bjornnson-8.5. Totally different player, well done.

thought mcsweeney started off slow but gradually got better and had a good game. Bjornnson for me was outstanding. If we can continue to provide him with what was a much better service then he will be a great player for us. the midfield 2 who normally come in for a lot of stick were great too. Great result!

I'm not going to give Turner too much praise given he had little choice but to play that team given the way things have worked out.

However I'm in full agreeance re not seeing this result coming. I said to my boss, this morning at work, that I couldn't see anything other than a turgid 1-0 defeat.

But now there's every reason to look forward to next week's game at Southend. Another display like that and I will be one happy man.

sometimes thats the making of a team, when they are forced together rather than through choice.

Lets hope it is in this case!
