Just got the following email.

Firstly we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience during the production of the Club’s Official History Book.
Since accepting your subscription for the book, we have suffered several major and unforeseen delays but thankfully we are now in a position to advise you that your book is ready for collection.
From 10am on Monday 23rd November onwards, you can collect your own personally inscribed hardback copy of The Official History of Hartlepool United from the Club Ticket Office.
The books will also be available for collection prior to Tuesday night’s game with Southampton from the Ticket Office or from main reception for up to thirty minutes after the game.

We hope the book proves worth the wait – it is certainly a production that Hartlepool United are proud of and we hope you enjoy reading what is an extensive look at the history of our Football Club.

Please feel free to contact me via return email for any further details or to arrange collection by a third party.
Best Regards

For and on behalf of
Hartlepool United FC

We live in hope rolf

You would think they would send it out to people seeing as though they've had to wait for half a lifetime.

it's lost a bit of it's spark though hasn't it? bringing it out well after our centenary.

It's like going out for your birthday on the saturday when it was the tuesday before, just not the same.

Being brought out just before christmas is ideal really as a present for people.

Well to be honest, I was expecting a lot better celebrations of our Centenary....but the infamously dull Centenary Tournament and the global economic crisis put pay to that I think.

I've just seen a photo of it on the website...it looks really impressive. I hope it's worth the £18/£25.

I can safely and confidently say that the book is more than impressive - as H99 says it looks great and it is great.

It's well written, well illustrated and has a great selection of new and old photos of Pools in there, not just copying the ones from Ed Laws book.

Mark my words as I sit here tonight (and the rest of the weekend - it's over 400 pages) reading a copy I'm going to be immodest, I'm going to pat myself on the back, and then praise the rest of the people at the club who have been involved with it. Yup it's late, but hey not everything should come quickly.

It's well worth the price and once you've got it, it'll make the perfect compliment to A Century Of Poolies, the A-Z.

Free weekend next weekend.....it's time to stop knocking the club over this now and embrace it.

Can't wait.

Interesting to see that "The Letter" the Club received after the play-off Final is going to be included.

What letter was this???
