I've been told getting past the Trafford Centre at that time is sometimes a bit slow, would you recomend trying to avoid the trafford centre or isn't the traffic that bad there?

It'll take me less than an hour to get to Huddersfield and I'm 25mins the other side of Man airport. If you want to avoid the Trafford Centre there's a link off (I think) junction 17 which takes you round the other sde of Gtr Man.

Think you'd be unlucky to hit any kind of snarl-up at that time by the Trafford Centre.
They're open every hour God sends, and weekends are usually a doddle. Roadworks notwithstanding, mind... sctatchinghead
