Yeah lads, because we all know the correct way to hand in a gun is to make an appointment with the Super and pull it out of the bag on him . Read between the lines

I agree, he rang to see the Super but didnt bother to say why? Why not just tell them why?

And then walking into an unsuspecting police station and pulling a gun out of a bag?

As it happens I found a gun in a playground next to St Andrews Gardens in Liverpool. I made the mistake of picking it up to see if it was real and then put it down again where I found it and called the police. A young chap with a pointy helmet turned up, took his pen out of his pocket and stuck it up the barrel of the gun to pick it up to have a look at it and it was then that I realised I'd made a mistake, y'know, finger prints and that. Nothing came of it like, there's probably guns strewed all over Liverpool.

Anyway all this makes me glad I didn't nip into Admiral Street police station and whip it out of me pocket and say, 'Hands up, Jesse James is in town', just for a joke.

It's probably still in the evidence room with finger prints all over it.

Perpetrator makes an appeal, gets his sentence quashed.....
