agree with a lot of that.

How about a formation change for home matches?

---------------flinders

austin---collins---liddle---hartley

-----jones----rowell----humphreys

-----------brown-------monkhouse

--------------------boyd

essentially a 4-3-2-1 with brown and monkey supporting boyd and getting. We would be more narrow than normal but it would encourage us to play through midfield more.

Easy see!

i know turner has said he thinks the team wont start plaing good stuff till january

If he thinks that, he seems not to see the implication...that fans needn't bother turning up till January.

Cant be arsed reading the whole thread, but I can tell you that the season started in August,we were away to MK Dons & got a 0-0 draw.

the way i see it the season can go one of 2 ways. in scenario one the players knuckle down and start grafting for each other, the fans see that and respond, we start winning the home games, the crowds rise, and we stay in the top half of the table. seeing the improvement ior decide to invest again in the transfer window, and we end up having a good season.

in scenario 2 the team doss around feeling sorrry for themselves, the crowd turn on them, the defence can no longer keep us in games, particularly away from home and we start a slide down the table. we lose six away games on the bounce after xmas at leeds, charlton, bristol, norwich, southampton and millwall, and slide into a relegation battle . the dwindling crowds become increasingly hostile and with a dozen games to go turner is axed.

Good points made. Sadly I think scenario 2 is the more likely to eventuate as things stand.
