Woldn't like to call this one and I'm certainly not going to tempt fate.
If we play anything like we can, then the result should be a formality but there aint no formalities in the FA cup, especially at this stage.
Apparently they were lucky to get a draw, deep into extra time, in the first game against Redditch.
Lets hope they have used up all their luck.

I'm not often too confident in these things and they will raise their game but I'll go for a 3-1, with them to score first, Boyd, Behan and Collins. One sent off for them.

I'll you what you haven't had enough of this week, arrogance and bravado. Where has the idiot been making a tit of himself and setting us for a fall?? FFS we are playing Kettering a lop sided collection of butchers, bakers, and candlestick makers we are way ahead of them in the football pyramid. David Foley is worth more than their whole team.

Pools 12 Kettering 0.

seems a strange way to try and increase attendances for a mickey mouse game if you ask me. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Its all bollocks the kids prices...they should always be reduced how the hell do they ever expect to gather a following of new fans with prices like that... the attendence figures will only go the wrong way if they keep this up!

dont know if its last night or tonight in the mail sunderland were advertising 10 game passes, prices approx £210 for adults and £55 for kids ...

next 10 league home games

Arsenal
Pompy
Villa
Everton
Bolton
Stoke
Wigan
Fulham
Man c
Brum
Tott

yes whilst it is Sunderland... its premiership footy... why are we paying the same prices and in some cases more for two leagues lower?

Because we support Hartlepool not Sunderland so regardless of the price we go to watch our team
Lets not forget the premiershit clubs have money thrown at them left right & centre, lower league clubs only have thegate money.

Don't get me wrong i'll still fork out the cash for the love of the club (however painful it gets. . .and tranmere was a prime example)

I just think when we have attendences around the 3k mark with probably a couple of hunderd kids making up that number . . .why not then drop the kids price get more kids in and you make your money plus more

The pools lads do enough work out and about with schools and stuff so the link is already there with the kids . . .I'm sure loads more would go compensating more than enought for the price drop and loads would pester their parents for less cash and no doubt get it if the price wasn't jacked up

1-1 got a tenner on it,then 2-0 to the pool at our place.interesting article from andyi on pricing, some good points.but more poppies fans will be their tommorow than fulhams mob at sunderland in a few weeks time.

the club might have wanted to do that(drop the kids price)but the decision was taken out of their hands when the fa got involved,as said in the program they wanted to charge the same as for the piss pot cup but could not agree it with the poppies

I guess wrong thread to have the rant in. . .the ticket price thing was just a general rant and not particularly aimed at the tomorrows match

I can understand the lower league clubs doing everything possible to make as much money as they can fa cup time, for most of the lower clubs rd1 and rd2 games against championship and league one teams probably balance the books for the season

Our attendance tomorrow depends on our ability to scrape together £42. PC will be listening to Pools World at home, and Jonny on his laptop at Uni.

I have no idea what the result will be tomorrow, anything is possible.

I wish you all the best of luck for tomorrow,

I personally think that the score will stand at 2-2/1-1 (cant see us scoring many)
And then a replay at Rocky Road.

I wont go as far as some on this thread and predict a double figure score. I do believe if we can get an early goal it will make for an easier afternoon and a comfortable win.

Perhaps Turner can tell some of the players that the opposition is from 2 leagues above and not below us, in his pre match talk. That just may make some of them put on their "right heads" and go on the pitch determined to perform, as opposed to going the the motions which some do when we play what they conceive to be "lesser" opposition.

Not mentioning names but some, do have that mentality in some games as we have all seen over the past years.
