even with a full strength side out we know it is going to be one of our hardest home games all season. In the league you will get teams turning up and going through the motions - this is guaranteed not to be the case with Kettering on Saturday.
Win, lose or draw it is going to be tough and we will have to match them for all the 50-50's and loose balls - I'm sure the players will already anticipate this

I say this from the perspective of - we know what it's like to turn over teams from a higher division in recent seasons - West Brom, Stoke, Burnley a couple of years back, Coventry etc etc

I'm actually backing us to play well on Saturday, the pressure is off in terms of league points so we'll hopefully see a more of a relaxed home performance. If we match Kettering in all the ugly areas of the game our quality should come through but it won't be easy. They will be big and organised hopefully we can press them get stuck in then get it down and play the last thing we want to do is start to go too long like the Brentford game because that will suit them down to the ground, an early goal would be nice.

I really hope Jones is fit, he's a key player for us.

to be honest sweeney can always fill in for jones fair enough he maybe has not been in form but if its a confidence matter then surely if he is going to rebuild his confidence it would be against kettering. if brown is fit (ime not sure if he is) then he could always go on the right wing as usual and that is back to normal however if brown is not fit then Larkin can play on the right ime lead to belive, so i dont see them two injuries as being to much of a problem. also if turner does not see sweeney as the replacement for jones thier is always jonny rowell or freddy both not rely featuring in many games this season especially rowell who i think deserves a chance by now, if not i think turner needs to maybe put him out on loan for a month to get some match experiance into him.
i wont be at the match as i will be sitting in the sun by the side of a pool in Hurghada !!! :coool:

I think you raise a very good point in amongst all that of that! If Turner isn't going to give Rowell a go yet the time has come were he should be getting more first team experience, I'm sure plenty of League Two clubs would like him for a month or so. For me if Jones is ruled out the obvious like for like swap is Rowell, but we all know it would be Sweeney who comes in.
