A comfortable away win. 2-0 up at half time and to be honest should be 3 up before we even score the 2nd. An early Brown header gives Pools the start we all hope for. Brown makes the wrong decision and tries to pick out a Pools player with a pass when a shot is possibly the better option. Then a Brown shot wish turns into s cross only requires anyone on the back post to side foot it into an empty net. A good move down the right and Brown picking out Monkhouse to put Pools 2-0 up after 29 mins. Monkhouse then get booked as he celebrates in front of the Swindon fans. The 1st half is seen out comfortably with no worries that they can get a goal and make it a different game.

Second half you expect Pools to be under the cosh but it never happens, Wilson just doesnt seem to be able to change it, how that sounds familiar although he throws Peacock on and you just expect him to score, doesnt he always. Pools were comfortable I cant remember a save Flinders has to make, he copes easy with ant cross into the box with punches or catches.

No outstanding performances but some very good ones. Thefollowing may seem as if we were under pressure but it was far from it. Collins and Liddle once more at ease with anything they had to cope with. Austin in my opinion coped easily with their winger and Jones in for Sweeney did all you could ask from him.

Up front I was surprised to see Boyd, whose touch is coming back and he had a good game, and Behan replaced with Bjornsson and Larkin I personally wouldnt have took either off never mind both. Brown replacd by McSweeney I can see the reason, we were 2 up and Brown is still not fully fit so no problem with that.

I set off hoping for a point but expected nothing. We were playing a team unbeaten in 11 and made it look the other way round. If we can do what thay have done and string a few consecutive home wins together and carry on with this away form we have nothing to fear.

An excellent 3 points with every player doing their bit, except Flinders who was never tested due to a solid back 4.
Well done each and every player today. Jones needs to stay in sorry Sweeney but unless injury or suspension your keeping bench warm, that was far better without you.

.156 Poolies made the journey and each one is having a happy journey home.

I thought the three subs were timely and a good decision - not necesarily tactical but because they all looked knackered, particurly Browny, who looked out on his feet. Pools bossed the game.

Well played.

Hopefully. If we could just sort out the home form.

Where have I said a spelling mistake. I pointed out it was a grammatical error. If the original post had read

Jones, in for Sweeney, did all you could ask from him.

Please note the same sentence but the addition of two comma's.

Those comma's when removed still allow a correct sentence and say what is meant by the writer. Which is .....Jones did all you could ask from him. The addition of ......... ,in for Sweeney, ....... informs reader's of more information, in this case who Jones was in for.

Not quite sure but I think it's called an appositive use of a comma. Long time since I sat an english exam. You even once pulled me up for what you considered an overuse of comma's in my posts, now when I don't use them you do the same.

Now go and do what I keep telling you you need.

I thought Turner got the subs spot on - Boyd and Behan looked fooked to me, and the Swindon defence were starting to push up and carry the ball forward unchallenged. The Iceman was unconvincing but Larkin caused them a few problems, including a proper chance that he didn't really test the keeper with.

The only thing he got wrong was to bring them both on at the same time - a minute or so apart would have wasted some more time.
