What's a 'salut" ... apart from being a town in the Shirak Province of Armenia.

And how does flying a flag provide a "comic salut"?

Oh, me sides.

Whoever wrote that should be shot with bits of his/her own shite, and the editor should be put in the stocks outside Wilko's so we can hoy rotten tomatoes at him/her.
I didn't write "poo". I used another five-letter word beginning with sh...

"comic salut"?

/quote]

A Frenchman amusingly greeting you could be described as a comic salut. Although this is highly unlikely as it would mean a Frenchman actually having a sense of humour.

You'd expect a Chuckle Brother to be comic, though.

Boutique hotels are all the hotels in the world that aren't Premier Inns, Travelodges, Best Westerns, Marriots or Ramadas. Before Premier Inns, Travelodges, Best Westerns, Marriots and Ramadas were invented, boutique hotels were just called 'hotels'.

Is he claiming it will be a better standard or summit by calling it a boutique?

If he wants something classy maybe he should have embraced a classy name instead of summit people will think is a piss take.

I think he's trying to say it's the sort of place the in-crowd will flock to, if they're insecure enough to need a trendy label.

I for one will not set foot in a restaurant named after a colleague who received a massive over-sentencing due to a trial by Sky TV
