What can be said about tonights game. First half we simply weren’t in it. Stockport passed us off the pitch. Quick and precise and Pools players chasing shadows,I’ve seen a lot of gsmes ovrt the years, but not many where I can say we were totally outplayed for the first 45 minutes. They were better than Leicester at the Vic last season better than Charltons passing this year. 2-0 was fair maybe could have been worse, but could have been 2-1 but for a superb save by Fon Williams from a Boyd header, the keeper who was outstanding at the Vic for them last season.

Just what changed in the second half, we closed them down Brown and Monkhouse moved in a little and we stopped them playing and had the better of the half. An early goal from Boyd changed the game and only some dubious decisions by the referee who seemed to have took them as a home stopped us getting more on top. Behan booked for foul on keeper when it was handball to us for him being out the box, accidently and not a sending off in my opinion. Two blatanty deflected for corners given as goal kicks. One from a Behan free kick that was deflected bout 10 yards wide. Even with the ball in the net for the equaliser he seemed to be looking for some reason to disallow it as he seemed to take an age to point to the centre circle. A cool finish over the keeper by Boyd and a poacher type goal from a corner by Behan gives us what can be called a good point, but on second half possession and pressure a deserved point,

I don’t expect to see us as totally outplayed as we were in the first half for a long time. If thety had played like it in the second half this journey home would seem a hell of as lot longer as it could have reached 5 or 6. But its not its a point and I would have took it before
Kick off and definetely at 2-0 down midway through first half. From the foggy M62 at saddleworth good night from me and the rest of the car load.

probably i have just wiped it from my memory. But if you look at the stats we had more possession and more shots. They only had 2 shots on target and scored them both! They passed it well first half but completely fell apart in the second. If i were to pick a man of the match i would say boyd.....i think. But thats more than debatable

He looks to be improving slowly but surely. The good thing is that he is still scoring despite not being at his best.

Don't want to appear to be doing a PoK here, but from the commentary last night, we appeared to be completely in charge for the first quarter of an hour, until their first attack and goal.
