I was critical of the guy when he was having a bad spell but he has been our best player this season imo. He was outstanding today. Some of his last ditch tackles were outstanding. I dread to think how we would struggle without him. He even contributed up front a few times and did brilliantly for the second goal.

I think it shows what a difference having a good keeper makes.

Oh, and Austin was excellent aswell today. Did you see that 70 yards pass in the first half  clappp

Collins was exceptional today, along with Hump's experienced head in midfield clappp

Last season Collins had an appalling sidekick/defensive partner and a very serious personal problem with his wife's illness. It didn't help that he was made the scapegoat for others (particularly Nelson's) mistakes for goals last season as well.

I think he was almost faultless today and would agree he has been our best player so far this season closely followed by Liddle.

and a small PS my girls stood and waved to the team when they were doing their warm down lap around the pitch, who was the only player to wave back......you guessed it, Big Sam (this has not influenced my thoughts above on his performances  )

......and Flinders one hand save from the corner was brilliant. If it had gone in, the outcome could have been so different. Confidence in the keeper can spread to the back four, midfield.....etc clappp

Collins was awesome today, and the save Flinders made was first class. We are so so lucky to have got Flinders at such an early age for a goalie.
