My high street bank has closed an account down of mine a month ago without my say so and now they are say it was me the money that was in there has gone and they will not take responsibility for it.
So now I'm fighting this bank to get my money back but trying to talk to them is a nightmare.
So be on your guard. rage

MOD, be patient. I know you shouldn't have to but if the Bank has fooked up you will get your money back and maybe some extra if you explain the inconvenience you have been caused.

Find out on the Bank website where to complain and then write explaining what has happened. If you write to the Complaint address, you will receive a prompt response even if to just acknowledge the complaint whilst it is investigated.

Don't bother phoning, you'll get more frustrated when the bird in India doesn't understand you banghead

Is this this thing that St Gordon of Chancellor decided on, that if your account is untouched for a bit, the bank should close it and the greedy leechy Government get the money that was in it?? I think they said under a hundred quid??

Update after many threats. phone calls and e - Mails finally Abbey have admitted there mistake and sorted my account out.
Its scary that they cam say its your fault not ours and its up to you to prove.
