A bit surprised that they managed to do it with a day to spare.

It just goes to show how much of a shadow of their former great selves Australia looked like this year.

But what about all those who had tickets for tomorrow expecting to see the final moments?

Well done England. Thoroughly deserved. clappp

Why is it whenever England win something we always say the opposition was inferior... sctatchinghead

Why can't we just say we beat them because we're better than them... clappp

Bloody convicts.. and don't let forget we won more medals than them at the Olympics..

And people wonder why our country doesn't have a winning mentality... :uhoh:

Oh, yeah, I'm not saying we weren't good, beacuse we have been - that's why we've won.

But to be honest, Australia as a sporting superpower seems to have diminished (that Australian side was one of the poorest sides I've seen in about 20 years this year, we finished above Austrailia in medals table in Beijing last year, as a swimming superpower they've declined).

Is this the end of Australia's dominance?

There's something that tells me this series wasn't as great as 2005, but who cares, we won.

To be honest we really shouldnt have won the series only three things stand out the Anderson and Monty's stand for a draw, Freddys 5 wickets at Lords and Broad 5 at the oval. When you look on paper and stats the Aussies had far more with the bat than us we only had two people to make a century Strauss and Trott, it was in the field that we won it and they were rubbish.

It makes it more sweet as we have "done" them as England were an ordinary test team but made them look like plonkers.

Do you think Ponting will step down, I think he is an ordinary captain and to be honest has bee found wanting after the retirement of Warne who was very good in the field and had a lot of ideas the Ponting turned to for help.

POK's was a difficult birth, as he was clutching the original laptop, wearing Joe 90 glasses and clutching a 'young executives' briefcase... and he was typing his first 'post' to the first website as the midwife washed him down...as the umbilical cord was snipped, he'd already received 12 replies, all abusive.
