And sadly less than a week since Henry Allingham passed away. It's amazing to think that these mens' lives spanned three centuries.

RIP to both of them, our last Two Little Boys of the First World War.

RIP to Harry Patch and Henry Allingham...World War 1 not Veteran, they should be Ace's, living three Generations.

I'll never forget the names as long as I live, I'll carry their names everywhere I go, England legend of WW1.

They should have called an RAF base after Henry Allingham, since he was a founded memeber of the RAF and everyone who joins up to the Army should know who Harry Patch was and hopefully the Army can think of something to remember him forever!

RIP, Sir Harry Patch and Sir Henry Allingham...Forever in our hearts!!

R.I.P Harry. It now leaves navy veteran Claude Choules aged 108 as the last British survivor of WW1. He lives in Australia.

How apt that the 3 armed forces of the country have had the oldest survivor at one stage.

Let us never forget.

RIP Harry - I thought the interview with him that they showed told you all you need to know about the man. 'Don't forget the Germans' he said - so magnanimous even after all he had been through...

He spanned three centuries which in itself is an achievement. But to carry around the pain and memories of WW1 is remarkable. What those lads went through was beyond humanity and far more than any human can bear. The great war now moves into the history books but will never be forgotten and nor should it.

RIP Harry Patch and all those of all nationalities who fought in the war to end all wars.
