I have 2 red lights on the left hand side of my xbox 360 now its out of warranty. banghead
Checking the internet it tells me it is over heating.
I have not had it on for 3 days and when i switched it on they were still there.
I looked at the official site and they wanted to charge me £78 to repair it refred
i read the internet and they said it might be clogged up with dust inside.
so i have dis assembled it and cleaned it out, put it all back together and still the same.

Anybody know what else could be wrong? Does anyone know somebody who can repair it and
have a good reputation for a fair price?

Any help appreciated

Tell Xbox you have 3 red lights (known as the red ring of death) and they will repair it free, even out of warranty.

Grainger games send them away to a repairer but im not sure how much it costs.

Im going to have to look into sending mine away too. Not getting any red rings ( :uhoh: ) but it has started locking up repeatedly ever since i attached the wireless aerial thing on the back. banghead

I thought any hardware faults ie red lights was only covered for 3 years.

PS can anyone recommend any where in the town that would repair a laptop.

Sometimes it means the entire motherboard is warped and you're fucked.

I'm counting down the days until mine explodes

I had 3 or 4 flashing and it was the PCB/Motherboard.

Phone The One Show and ask for Dom Littlewood to get on the case

reason it is locking up is due to lack of ventilation, its getting too hot.

let me guess, the dashboard is locking up?

It locks up anytime, whether it be the dashboard or during a game. The screen just goes all blocky and I have no option but to pull the plug. rage

Have you tried twatting it dead hard with a clenched fist?? If that doesn't work try swearing at it, or even combine the two.
