Anyone here been away in february before. Me and er indoors are looking to get away round about 2nd Feb for a week to somewhere hot, from Teesside or Newcastle.
Where can I actually go where its hot and I can sit swatting massive flies all day with a nice cold beer in my lap?

Any of the Canaries are good value at this time of year. I've been to Tenerife, Lanzarote, but me fave is Fuerteventura. Avoid the half term though cos the prices rocket up.

North Africa will be warm enough as well, the likes of Egpyt or Tunisia. My brother went to Tunisia last year and loved it. Mr Ed is a regular visitor there as well so I am sure that he will be able to tell you more.

But you won't be swatting flies.
The Mediterranean is cold in February. Warm spells, sure, but you'll spend most of your time wearing a sweater.
I believe the Dominican Republic has some interestingly priced flights and hotels these days. Then there are plenty of places in the Indian Ocean and its seas.

You cannot top the Canaries. Lovely warm days assured, its just at night you have to cover up a bit. Been to Tenerife in mid dec and Fuerta in Mid Jan, Lovely Jubbly.

can personally reccomend la siesta or bouganneville playa which is a bit further afield up near puerto colon marina
