Anyone recommend anywhere to eat, before we go to see War of the Worlds tomorrow night?

I thank you, in anticipation of your helpful replies. bbolt

Sorry I haven't a clue, but the mention of WOTW reminds me of the great Leeds Poolies comment regarding the gash Tom Cruise remake...

He said

You would never of guessed what happened at the end of the fillum, I was in total shock.....

'The Gate' or down to the Quayside. The Gate is a complex just round the corner from the Bigg Market. If the weather is nice then go to the Quayside. I can't be more precise than that because I haven't been for a while but both have got loads of choice and variety plus aren't a million miles from the arena.

I'm hoping I've still got the will to live by the time we come back.

It had it moments, but not the wonderful spectacle in the hype written about it. We were sat square on to the stage, couldn't have had better seats if we had handpicked them. It was worth being there to see and hear Justin Hayward singing 'Forever Autumn', but not for Alexis James as The Artilleryman. I also enjoyed the sight of Jennifer Ellison ascending to Heaven.
