Has ANYBODY heard ANYTHING concrete?

Pools have turned down offers for key players before, there is no denying Nelse is a key player, why would they accept an offer now? We are chasing for promotion, possibly automatic promotion - please tell me why the club would sell?

Everyone has his price. A million quid now rather than a Bosman in May is a very strong argument.

derby county were prepared to pay pools 450,000 for him in august subject to them offloading a player to coventry city, a deal that fell through.

up until 20 past 3 on boxing day i suspect that his value may have risen dramatically and i doubt that pools would have stood in his way if an offer for 600k or more was on the table.

the injury changes everything. very few clubs have that kind of dosh to risk on a player with that kind of injury. some have suggested that the injury was feigned so as to prevent a real injury scuppering a big money move. i cant see that being the case. nelsons bairn was at the game as was the bairns mother, her parents and his parents. theres no way they would all have been there if he was coming off early in the game.

er, except LUTON!!!! for one i'm glad he's injured at this time - just for the fact it'll be hard for anyone to buy him - buy not happy he's injured for the obvious masterclass reason.

Nelson's contract isn't up until the end of next season so theres no danger of him leaving us until then unless we get a massive bid.

Dimi is a different proposition entirely though, as I'm sure a number of people on here have heard he is almost certainly going to leave on a bosman in the summer.

Therefore we need to seriously consider any bid that comes in for him.

Nelson is the rock and foundation of our team, surely if we sell him Uncle Ken will realise that it will cause serious problems.

I can't see Dimi staying with us though.

Nelson and Dimi would both be a big loss, but hey, look at how Willie Bolland has come good, Liddle can seem to play anywhere. The only question mark over a DW signing is Mr Gibb
Boydie has hardly been a massive loss and is hardly setting Luton alight after being rumbled (Hope the money is in Pools coffers)
Did Nelson going off against Grimsby affect the team?...........they went on to win and Liddle slipped into position no problem. With Pools in the position they are now in, they are an attractive proposition for potential signings.
January will be an interesting month
