Turner did say at the Rovers on Thursday and this is almost a quote

A player has undergone a medical and is keen to join us, that player is from a club in administration so it wont take a lot to work out.

A lot of people put 2 + 2 together to come up with Austin. If it not him, then the possibilities of it being Rose from Stockport increases.

Though of course there are many other players available from clubs in administration, take your pick from Darlington, Stockport, or even Southampton. They are your only three clubs in administration, though you can throw Weymouth into the equation if you want, I'm not I can see anyone fron there being brought in to the club.

i immediately thought of rose when turner mentioned a player having a medical. Others obviously assumed a darlo player. Guess we will have to wait and see eh

One thing strikes me about that article, and its that maybe CT should learn to keep his mouth shut, as he seems to be fueling some of these rumours himself.

I work in Darlo and my manager is a Darlo fan and apparently Ausin has admitted to having a medical for us to Darlo supporters.

It's funny if turner said nothing at all people would complain, he says a few little snippits and people complain.

It's not his fault if deals to longer to complete than expected.

Jesus.

Turner said about a month ago that he wouldn't be looking at any Darlo players because he was looking for players from the Championship and L1.

Plus, actually signing a full back would not fit the Poolie spec.

It could be any Darlo player really, any Stockport player, any Southampton player, not quite sure how that then narrows down to Neil Austin.

Maybe it IS Austin though and somebody has heard something?

There is no way I'd lose my wanking sock.

I actually did know a lad when I was a yoof that feely admitted he had a wanking sock.

He is now a copper, true story.

I heard we had had talks with Austin from someone last Wednesday (I heard then, not that he'd had talks then)

If you look at the quote regarding Austin all is denied is that he's had a medical it actually ends with "but as always we won't be releasing names until the deal is done and 100% confirmed."

I think Rose and Austin will both sign.

We'll have to keep guessing on the foreigner though!!

I think without saying it turner basically means that this guy is out of our league.

It's not Burgmeier is it?

There has been no rumours, but I know, just know, that the sneaky bloody foreigner is off somewhere. I mean they all do don't they, foreigners - welcome to the board at the first hint of trouble.

I doubt it.

Turner said it was an attacking central midfield player who would significantly improve our squad. Burgmeier in open play isn't anything flash is he? He certainly has no pace from the couple of times I've seen him.

Is he a left winger or right? I can't see us signing a right sided player as we have Brown and Leon Mcsweeney already as options. We probably will sign a left hand sided player to compete with Monkhouse after Robson left though but it was rumoured that was a winger from the Ivory Coast.

It's all rumours though I try not believe things until they are confirmed.

Burgmeier plays anywhere across the middle of the park, left, right, attacking centre, although we preferred him on the left.

Burgmeier is a good L2 player but realistically I think he'd be average in L1. His problem is zero pace. Splendid delivery of dead balls, which is an advantage in L2 but maybe not so much in L1.
