Funnily enough I was just telling somebody that...
After a short absence Ska nights return to The Studio with Liverpools The Stopouts. This is 1980 UK style two-tone ska. Songs with the edgy punk attitude of the early Specials and an upbeat, danceable mixture of fun-time tunes like classic Madness or Bad Manners with local Ska DJs playing all your old favourites too.

To my knowledge the last Ska band to play The Studio was in December!!!! :laugh:

BTW....plenty of people in the Town like to watch a Ska Band....best way to start your night out!!!! :coool:

Plus we also get quite a few people travelling for the Ska Nights from allover the North-East....we have regulars coming from Boro, Stockton, York and Newcastle!!!! :grin:

Their first album was 'Ok'....the 2nd one I don't even think that I've heard it all the way through....so yes I do agree with you that they are shite!!!! :laugh:

And another reason I don't like them much is that they are from the Brighton area and they are much much better 'proper' Ska bands from that area....off the top of my head....

Average attendance I would say is about the 70 mark....which isn't too bad....the way things are going at the moment anyway!!!! confised

But as long as the band cost gets covered and the people and Band enjoy themselves I say....Job Done!!!! :coool:

My favorite band is the clash and i hate every other band on earth or should that only apply to football teams.

I despise them for reasons from years ago!!!! :evil:

They are a very poor....for what they are....Club Band....and a cheap imitation of a 'Ska Band' but they have no knowledge whatsoever of the genre from what I can remember!!!! :evil:

Mutley has pretty much summed up gangsters of Ska exactly right.
Ive yet to find anyone come out of any of the ska gigs & not had a good night.
Phil,seeing as The Passion Killers dont have a gig until Saturday why dont you come along on Friday,at the very least you get to have a pint with Mutley & myself :grin:
