Following the transfer of Mcsweeney and my point on the other thread what would people say to this up front: Boyd to play up there with another (lange, mackay, or another signing), with Brown just behind in the hole, being allowed to move across the pitch in a "free" role.

Granted this would take a midfield place but with a holding midfielder, monkhouse on the left and mcsweeney on the right that looks good to me, and with a substitution of sweeney for either brown or mcsweeney (dependant on performance) we can switch to our normal style of 4-4-2 play.
