There has been a few threads on this topic but thought i would start a fresh one anyways.

I think that all the critcism on here is an absolute joke. He has inherited a rubbish squad of players from Wilson and only had the January transfer window to sort out the mess and bought in some qulaity players then and a few players who looked like they would be quality from past performances but just didnt work out (Parker etc). Maybe yes he should have signed a few defenders which i admit is the only real thing he has done wrong but it must be hard to try and get players in without shipping any out and to be honest, it must be very hard to find clubs that want any of our players other than a few of them which we would want to keep anyways.

I think he has done the job he was put in place to do and that is keep us in this league. Now i think we can judge him on the players he releases on signs over the summer and then give him time for his own ideas to rub off on these new players and get the team gelling together and if it dioesnt work out for him after his own signings have come in then get rid of him but i think more blame for this seasons failure should be placed on Wilson as it was his squad that Turner had to try his hardest to get working well.

I think from the rumours of the players coming into the club, it seems very positive, Boydy coming back, possibly Dimi, this makes me think that the club will start to move back in the right direction again and us as fans should let Turner have time with his own squad before getting on the poor blokes back. He hasnt shied away from the failure, he has come out and given reasons and answers to questions from the fans which i dont think many other managers would do. He has the club and the fans in his heart and this is what we want in a manager.

Give the bloke a rest and judge him on next season when he has his own squad to work with!!!

Got to admit i slated him. But looking back now I regret those comments, he loves hartlepool and hope he continues to give his best for our team.

No one doubts he his Hartlepool through and through, or his commitment, or his interaction with fans or his dealing with the media. Its just a shame he is a shite manager.

He isn't Hartlepool through and through, however he is very passionate and is a great ambassador for our club. And stop banging on about West taking over until it actually happens, its a shite rumour at best. Giving me a fucking headache

I don't really want him either. confised

But I'm prepared to see how far he'll go before he realises his own weaknesses. Might be good, might be bad, but I wouldn't say shite at this stage, unless I was offering an alternative. So who's your alternative Mr Hamster??

Mine would be Phil Parkinson.

CT has been a loser in his management roles. In my opinion it would be a big risk allowing him to shape the new squad. If he is in charge next season then I think it will be a foregone conclusion that we will be relegated (not just down to Ct but also the division looks like it will be a bit stronger next year and we mayh not be able to rely on points deductions). Numerous people including myself have criticised him on many ocassions on here but there is still an unhealthy percentage who keep saying 'give him another go' blah blah blah. Perhaps it would be for the better if we DO employ him for next season if only to make the CT followers realise what a mistake it is/was and stop people going on about him as some saviour. I will also take great delight in being able to say 'I told you so' and I will say it EVERY single day, believe me!!!!

I think we are going to see our most exciting summer in the transfer market possibly ever, would IOR be prepared to back anyone else as much, and would anyone else ask for the funds Turner will?

In the phone in with Brownlee the other week CT said we can compete financially with most in this league and we need to make big changes in the summer, I prefer that attitude to Wilson's constant complaining about lack of finances and talking us down. Ideally yes, maybe I did want another manager but I'm happier now than I was 12 months ago.
