Why don't they just pull down the curtain on this whole sorry farce, they're like a drowning man who keeps getting thrown both ends of the rescuers rope.

At least Raj Singh is a man of his word, he stated that his offer was on the table and if it wasn't accepted by yesterday he would withdraw it and he has done just that.

Ohh well never mind there will be another mug along in a week or so.

'The names of those playing include a host a former stars such as Paul Gascoigne, Peter Beardsley, Gareth Southgate, Kevin Ball, Colin Cooper and Steve Agnew'

Rubbish lineup. Absolute rubbish. If they're the stars then I'd hate to see the others.

Gazza is one of my favourite footballers of all time but how long will he realistically last in this match? 15 minutes?

Wasn't Singh brought in to attract members of Darlington's huge Asian community?

disagree mutley. seeing darlo suffer, yes it is funny and satisfying.

but to see them go out of business will be a sad loss. it would mean our derby match would be against either carlisle or leeds.

sh!t really

Darlington FC were on the road to nowhere when the decision to move from Feethams was taken, a bit like a family with three kids building and moving into a 85 bed mansion and wondering why they rattle in it.
The cries of those able to see the bleedin obvious and its inevitable outcome, were drowned out by the wide eyed gullible gorms who actually believed the film 'Field of Dreams' was a documentary for the guidance of staium developers, a ticket to rub shoulders with the higher echelons. They've ended up with the record for the longest time taken for a group of self deluded individuals to evenually 'see the light'.
There are still those fighting a rearguard action, like I said before, like Miss Haversham, wandering around the symbol of their faded glory that never actually knew any, a constant symbol, that like a demanding baby, has to be fed first.
IT'S TIME FOR THEM TO GET REAL, TO TAKE A REALISTIC LOOK AT WHAT'S NECESSARY FOR SURVIVAL ... but the social climbing divvy in their genetic meke-up will always kick in to feed their ego and seriously cloud any thought of rational judgement, trouble is, we live in interesting times and the sugar daddies are all trying to hang onto the toys they've got. They couldn't have picked a worst time to send the old slapper that is DFC out onto the streets to flah her eyes and tempt a punter to part with their money.

Singh has only withdrawn his initial offer. He has stated he is still willing to do a deal with Haughton.

Personally, I don't know enough about him to make a judgement. However, he does appear to be the best option at the moment.

According to GH, there is another interested party. Personally, I think that's rubbish, and is simply GH trying to bump up the price.
