I shelled out six grand on one a fortnight ago. How can that be the cheaper option? For me its about taking kids out regularly rather than summer holidays.

I've never laughed so much as when Top Gear did a Caravan trip and when they finally got to the site they asked a woman what people got up to on caravan holidays. The first thing she replied was "well there's the chemical toilet to empty".

Sorry but as far as I'm concerned you have to be a masochistic Spartan to like caravan holidays. I did one once and it was the first and last time. Give me a luxury hotel or apartments any day of the week, or else a hiking tent.

Caravans are great, but they're well expensive, unless you've got your own or know someone who owns one and you can get it cheap. They're almost as expensive as a week in a cottage or week abroad and thats scandalous.
I cant afford luxury hotels. In fact I cant really afford a carvan either. Camping for us and praying on the weather

Couldnt agree more.

And of course we arent talking about those idiots dragging those very small things around the country roads are we?

The ones we have stayed in, three bedroomed, two bathrooms, are brilliant.
