I reckon Pools should pass this straight to the fans, a sign of goodwill. Perhaps a voucher for a free pie or pint to every fan who comes to the next home game.

Even better, why not give out vouchers for half price pie or pint, that way we all win, the club still get some revenue, we all get a reduction.

I thought about free tickets, but how do you decide who gets them? And then you have the problem with people who either have season tickets or have already bought tickets.

I think it should be given to the study support centre or on community based projects such as FITC/BBs /Scouts etc to entice new fans and also to educate young people on diets/perils of smoking etc

I know it's not directly related, but isn't it just a bit ironic that in some kind of "healthy living" thingymajig the photo on Pools webpage shows two fat kids scoffing crisps?

Nearly everybody likes a pint at the match so the £20,000 wouldn't go far.

They should spend it on free tabs as compo for the inconvenience caused to the smoking fraternity. I think those pink cocktail cigarettes with gold filters would be the ideal choice.

Hilarious!! You have to cut your way through the smoke in the ladies loo at CK side - thought the wholw ground was supposed to be no smoking - the amount who smoke inside - at back of CK - is a joke!!

Good job the competition was only filling in forms!!

Hmmmm at £2 a pint, that's 10,000 pints, there was only 3722 at the last home match (I'm being uber generous here and giving drinks to away fans), so 2.68 pints for every man woman and child.

The police will be rubbing there hands together with all the drink drivers heading off towards their motor cars after the game!
