Look to be clear I'm not agreeing with the subject of their protest, but they do have a right to protest. There's no point defending freedom if people can't use it.

If their protest got shouted down to oblivion then that's also the people's right, and that's exactly what happened.
And the press are trying to build it up into a showdown which is also their right.
