Ok then, whats the general consensus so far?

He looks a bit 'average' IMO, better than Mackay but no replacement for Joel next season.

i think Robbie Keane / Wayne Rooney would look shite if they were up front with Mackay. Although he was quiet today (didn't see tuesdays game) i think with time he will come good.

His first touch looks very good and he always seems to know what he wants to do with the ball before its passed to him. His passing let him down today but hopefully that will come after a few games. Certainly worth keeping a eye on over the next few months.

Thought mackay had a good game today, while the unquestionably more gifted parker looked like he didn't give a shyte

Agree kinda. But more so that it was a good game for Mackays standards. He still doesnt ever look like doing anything though.

That would make sense, as his sunday football team has no skilful players in it at all!

i thought parker put a decent shift in today. he chased a lot of lost causes and did his best with the aimless punts up to him 8 foot off the ground.

he has had to play up front with 2 different blokes he has probably never met before since getting here, and has only been at the club 6 days ffs. he's probably still learning peoples names.

then again no great suprise to see him being written off already by the wise men of the board in the same way nardiello was.

I agree with Chip. I thought Parker played quite well.

Im not writing him off. I simply said that in his 2 games so far he is looking average at best.

The lad has always done well against us so im prepared to give him time. I think hes better as a second striker personally maybe behind Lange?

Well i've been very disappointed, he saunters about like he's too good to be there, we haven't time to wait for players to bed in, we're in a relegation fight and we need them players now.

Chip mate, you speak sense most of the time, yet you roll your eyes when people write someone off after 2 games, yet in another post on this thread, you said you made your mind up on Mackay after 2 games. Bit of a contradiction isn't it? sctatchinghead

the big difference is that i know what im talking about, wheras most of the folk on this board are utterly clueless.

take the antiques roadshow for instance. an expert will give you a valuation within minutes, while the majority of the audience wouldnt have a fookin clue.

theres some folk for instance still think we are in a relegation fight. rolfl rolfl

clappp nice answer

Until we are mathematically safe I wont be happy, its looking good at the moment but with 2 away games this week and then Millwall the week after we are far from safe yet.

Millwall :uhoh: I'm keeping well away. Too many banning orders being handed out for posing in church street, I take the bairn to all home games now its far safer
