How poor was that? 337 to follow a team lying second and chasing automatic promotion.
We'd have had 2000 down at theirs if we were in that position.

Very piss poor. In a similar position, I would be disappointed if we didn't take 800 min. Didn't we take 300 plus to MK Dons?

i dout we would take 2000 at this stage but would have at least double what they brought here. Probably 800 - 1200...

We've had some long away trips recently.

Tranmere (Tuesday night), Hereford, Brighton (Tuesday night) all in the past month. Then Leyton Orient last Tuesday. It's taken it's toll on or suppport recently.

We took a few more to Carlisle earlier in the season, but still not a great turn out.

Also, with no offense intended, hartlepool isn't the most attractive away fixture. That away end would be awesome if it was a terrace, but with the seating it is bloody awful. I supose it would be a differant story if we got to travel to you during the summer.

When comparing our away support with yours, it's all relative. It one of our furthest away trips, but for you guys, it's nothing compared with Brighton, Yeovil, Bristol.

On a different note, I hope, with all my heart that your number 18 gets the shits tonight and also breaks his nose, teeth and pelvis in a boating accident, then gets bummed by Barrington cnuting Fry

Nick, no offense and welcome to the board but...

You don't have any long trips.

You're from Peterborough. Peterborough is in the midlands. It's not far from ANY football league club.

I'm from Sheffield.

What did Whelpdale (18) do? Other than fuck up for your goal...

I also hope he gets VD and breaks all of his toes and fingers and gets filled in by Darren Ferguson, he's quite handy by all accounts......

Oh do welcome to the board, you're 2nd top of the league and it was a Saturday fixture.

And based on yesterday, should you go up you're going to get destroyed by all and sundry, of the recent teams to have been promoted we have noticed a touch of class about their play. Leicester, QPR, Swansea, Plymouth have all looked the part. You lot looked, erm, lucky?

OK, but I'd bet a fair amount of cash that most Peterborough fans are not from Sheffield. My point is still valid.

Incidentally, 337 is exactly the same number of fans that Pools took to Torquay two years ago when we were also pushing for automatic promotion, but from League Two. Torquay is twice as far as Peterborough. We took more to Swindon, Boston and Barnet.

It's not just this season mate. Peterborough fans NEVER travel here. They're pretty well supported at home but they seem to have collective travel sickness. What's the problem?

Peterborough is an odd place. We'll take large numbers to some places, then bugger all to others, and I agree, it's pathetic.

I remember us taking over 1000 to Exeter to an average Division 3 fixture once upon a time.

I would post a load of our away attendances, but the forum where they list them appears to be down. Yesterday's may well have been the lowest of the season for us. Should really have taken 600+, but I don't think the trip to Orient on Tuesday helped things.

Based on yesterday being the key phrase. Can't expect every game to have that ridiculous wind.

It's been ugly recently, but the first 20 minutres showed glimpses of what we can do when things work for us. Yesterday's side had a bit of a makeshift look to it.

Sorry nick, I've just realised that you have described Hereford and Leyton Orient as "long" trips

From Peterborough

Seriously mate, I wish you well and I genuinely hope that Posh win promotion ahead of MK. But please stop taking the piss

I didn't say Orient was a long trip, it's one of the closest.

Yes, that's clearly what I said.

I thought the discussion was on the difference of the Posh performance in comparison with ythe likes of Swansea etc in previous seasons.
