I been trying to ring a taxi firm in the town most of the day (wont say which as dont want to start malicious rumours) and keep getting the dead tone from thier number.

Now it may simply be a fault on the line but you would have thought that they would have noticed they were getting no calls and had it checked.

Or it could possibly be that they have gone belly up.

Probably me putting 2+2 together to come up with something other than 4.

There is one firm having probs with there number try 277777 instead of 232323
and you should be ok

I followed a Royal taxi home from work tonight and his driving was shocking.

Try driving into the station at tea time, blocking the entrance while they chinwag.

A mate of mine drives for 232323 and he says that their phone and booking system has been down all day.

Yeah, they had an advert on Radio Hartlepool, apologising for technical problem with 232323 and advising people to use the 277777 no. and the vehicles look to have A4 sized notices in their rear side windows to the same effect.

nothing new there then! Probably some immigrant with no license

apparently its the firm whose equipment the taxi firms use who have problems and are having a knock on effect

You know those signs you see on the back of some delivery vans that read something like "if the driver of this vehicle is absolute shite please ring this number: 01482 718536"
