Travelled down from scotland today to watch the game, the first one iv been to in ages, to see that game. While watching it i was thinking we need to change formation more than anything to a 4-3-3, or change between a 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 to keep chopping things up for the opposition.

And what happened to Rune Lange? I thought he would be starting, or is he just not match fit?

(the dots are only there cos spaces didnt work)

ALB
Sweeney.........Collins............Nelson.........Humphreys

Monkhouse......Clarke.............Liddle.............Guy

..................Porter..........Lange/Nardiello

changing to......

ALB
Sweeney.......Collins.............Nelson.......Humphreys

....................Clarke.............Liddle
<------------------Monkhouse--------------->
Nardiello..........................................Guy
..............................Porter

This give Monkhouse the freedom to do what he wants, and cover the front side of midfield, and instead of guy staying on that side all of the time giving him the run through the middle of the pitch too, the front three can chop and change as they wish through the game. It gives the defence more stability with Clarke and Liddle holding the midfield. Lange could fit into the team cos he seems like a big guy, not saw him play yet but think he would sit up top, im just taking that from his goal record at other clubs. Keep this formation into next year and stick Monkhouse where Nardiello is and let Brown run rampant where Monkhouse is.

What you think? Or am i just being stupid?

Sweeney-Clark-Nelson-Liddle

Juggle the rest any way you like but if you don't concede you don't lose.

I like that midfield. I'd give Liddle at go at left back. Nardiello today I thought was shocking, his attitude given it was home debut was a disgrace he did not try in my eyes and broke the world record for being caught offside (4 or 5 times for being too lazy to get back onside from the previous attack) Turner and West could not even look at him when they took him off. In our current situation we need fighters, not what I watched today, I tried more sat in the Cyril Knowles. He either bucks his ideas and attitude up or he can fuck off in my humble opinion.

I thought that he might have been trying too hard at times, the way he would try and dribble past the same man more than once looked as if he was trying to get the fans on his side because he was trying to show that he could beat a man. To be fair though a few of the offsides were mariginal as he looked to get on the last mans shoulder.

That front 5 would probably be chosen by the vast majority of fans like Chip
