Step forward Colin West, surely he hasnt left a permanent reserve team managers role at Southend too come to Pools for nothing.

Re Colin West he must be here to stay or he wouldnt of left a full time position surely?

CT just read his comments totally agree with him and im pleased to see hes recognising what the fans see also. Hopefully his comments will be shown in his end of season clearout including his favourites.

CT talks a lot of sense when it comes to football matters , whether on or off the field. He seems to know what is required but cant seem to put it into practice. Lets face it his record in management is poor, his only success been at pools , but even then after a good start in his first 18 mths , we ended up near the bottom until Gordon Watson saved the day.

CT is a good organiser and for that reason maybe his position as Director of Sport is justified , though with his obvious interest in matters on the pitch and his management aspirations it undoubtebly would make things awkward for any incoming manager.

CT needs to decide what he wants to do, his talent is in organising/coaching yet he seems to think he can make it as a manager, I dont think so myself.

Gordon Watson was the worst thing to happen to Pools since Gibson.

He instilled an arrogance and an untouchability in the dressing room. Not a positive arrogance like your Arsenals for instance. More a 'we do what we like' sort of attitude. Moreover a few of the players believed themselves untouchables and above mere mortals like managers. See the departures of Newell and Copper.

don't buy that at all. Most of the current squad weren't playing for us when he was here. If some of the gutless empty shirts on display today had an ounce of his passion, we'd have won comfortably today.

I think it's footballers attitudes in general personally. Pools were well up for it on Tuesday but didn't look arsed today.

That attitude was horrific for the club especially the two seasons after, I mean it's not as they weren't our best ever seasons or anything.....

You are talking about some of the best football we have ever seen, maybe we need some more of that 'arrogance' about now. I mean as if Newell is a good manager.. and the the people you are having a dig at (Humphreys again) really liked Mike Newell.
