Absolutely superb. I trust you are all giving glowing tributes to the team, especially after most of you predicted a thrashing.

ALB 4. We would be in the top half of the league with a decent keeper. ALB, isnt a decent keeper. Arguably at fault for both goals, and his kicking????????????? banghead

Sweeney 8. Superb.

Nelson 7. Did well to manage Howard and Fryatt.

Collins 6. Did well also, but lack of pace is alarming.

Humphreys 5. At fault for the first goal, and had a torrid first half, but to his credit never stopped working and wanting the ball. Offered no protection in front of him though....so was exposed frequently.

Monkhouse 10. Utterly brilliant. What the fook did Wilson and Butterworth do to this player? Was so good going forward he did leave Humps exposed a lot, but you cant have everything.

Liddle 7. Played well

Clark 7. I dont like him in there really, but got better as the game wore on.

Robson 3. Awful. It was a relief when he went off. Jack the ripper had a better first touch.

Porter 9. Surely he will be offered a MASSIVE new contract? banghead stpid

Lange 7. Not quite fit enough, but did enough for me on the night.

Foley 6. Did OK, but not positive enough, except when the crowd demanded he run at them, which he did.

I thought we deserved to win. We played very well against a very strong side. Last time we played against sides this strong, QPR, and Plymouth, we got hammered.

Mr Turner.............please get us a keeper. You are making yourself look an idiot. What the hell are you playing at?

Right, that moan apart, a thoroughly enjoyable game, and I came away with a smile on my face, which doesnt happen often.

Now to read what you daft bounders have written. I am sure it will darken my mood. banghead

Oh, I meant to add. I thought the Leicester fans were utter wank last night. A big club attitude, and mentality that resulted in them singing more about us than supporting their team. Another sheff Wed, Forest, Leeds? I think so. I hope their club goes into administration......again.

alb - 6 - challenge for penalty was impetuous to say the least but their player gets 10/10 for making the most of the situation with a superb dive - strike for the first goal was powerfully hit - if he's all we've got we must start looking at the positives. handled better, made some brave saves to feet against top scorer in the league and against a big steamroller of man.kicking was much better - only went out twice - made a good fongertip save early doors from header and some good saves too when at 1-1.

sweeney - aye same - some good runs too, more consistency with the crossing and he would have had 2 more points.

nelse and collins 7 - good performance from mick but distribution still lacking - collins - looked good, against an old fashioned pairing and after so long out.

humph - 5 - he should be able to handle the lack of cover in front of him - a bad game by his standards - fooked up for the first goal and made a vain attempt to get in way of howards piledriver which possibly, possibly didnt help alb, poor distribution first half and although more composed and steady 2nd half, the chances that went their way came from that flank. kept running tho til the 95th minute.

monkey - 9.99 - when he cuts inside and gets his head down he is a delight to watch - when he goes outside and tries to hold the line it doesnt work, turner likes him to cut loose inside and let it continue. wasted on the right. also any notice how he has calmed down a little and the hotheaded part of his game has on the whole gone. the only midfielder we have who is a threat in front of goal which is worrying really.

lidds 7 - put himself about a lot and created soem good chances but couldn't finish my son's homework.

clark - ditto

robson - tries to hold the line all the time - cut inside matty lad. early knock, difficult to score and difficult to see if he'll play saturday if anyone else fit.

porter -11 - goosed, crippled and outstanding. what the fook he was doing takin the corners i dont know - should have had humpty on them, bit more power from him and less spin. where the fook did he learn to make those top class passes on the edge of the box that create so much space - the bloke looks broken physically but after years if injury we see him now in his prime. i can see the reasoning behind him wanting to go home - easier game could play more - but if 2 years landed on the table here, we'd get it out of him and he'd take it - particulalry with the summer and some new/old signings on the cards. will be sadly missed if he goes more than we would ever know.

lange - 7 - never i have seen a player who is clearly yards off the pace, really unfit and pushed all game play as confident as he could. his simple presence up front kept one of their defenders busy all game and he had a bit of a rough time. the fitness will come when we need it most which will be for the last 6 or 8 games of the season. quite an astute signing as his reputation preceeds him despite the form still coming over on the ferry from stavanger. will get half a dozen crucial goals and may even stay.

baby d - 7 - run forrest run - no confidence poor kid and at last a game when people got behind him he ran and beat players - he can do it so just do it - i rather he lost the ball after a good effort than just fooking around with it on the half way line. he'll beat his man 3 times out of ten maybe and his pace is electric, one of his points is for sheer comedy value when seeing him try to jump for the ball.

turner and west - both very animated - turner gutted at penalty - west ecstatic with equaliser.

westy in charge next season, with a younger but experienced assistant manager/coach??

happy

was a very entertaining game throughout, yes there were mistakes but we got a point from the best side in this division who are unbeaten in 19 games i think soemone said lastnight. ALB made 2 msitakes for the goals but then he did something i dotn think ive seen him do for a long time, he saved 2 shots! was expectign them both to be put away but to be fair to him he did save both of them well possibly makign up for the 2 goals he f'd up for.
monkhouse was immense tonight they had to bring a lad on near the end just to try and keep him quiet, clarky and liddle had very good games in the centre too.

When they were singing 'what's it like to see a crowd' I felt like going over and pointing out that we actually took more to the Walkers earlier in the season and if we were 18 games unbeaten and ten points clear at the top we'd have taken a damn site more than 700 to Leicester even if it was a Tuesday night!!

It was a cracking match and some of our players covered themselves in glory, especially Ben Clark who continues to prove that he is the best footballer at the club and had Howard in his pocket every time they were in the same area of the pitch, shame he didn't play centre half though cos Nelson and Collins always defend too flat when they play together and are exposed by good passing and movement. First time I've seen Lange and don't see what all the fuss is about based solely on last night but to be fair to the bloke his legs were probably like lead three days after his first 90 minutes in about 3 years.

ALB- 6
Sweeney- 8
Humphreys- 5
Collins- 5
Nelson- 5
Monkhouse- 8
Robson- 5
Liddle- 7
Clark- 8
Porter- 7
Lange- 5
Foley- 6
Henderson- 6

I agree with all of that - I was at the same match, something really needs to be done to tempt Porter to stay - excellent footballer.......

Did you mean days?!

Lange's best game was his debut when he came on as sub, he got everyone excited almost scored and then he scored at MK Dons but in all honesty I thought he was average there but it gave reason extra reason to hype him up.

On what I've seen it would be Nardiello and Joel on Saturday with Lange coming on as sub. One of the most exciting strikeforces I've EVER known at Pools.

Sorry but I find this type of comment hard to take. I was obviously in our end and I thought our support was pretty reasonable, we certainly kept it going all game and had some loud periods.

Yes there were some arrogant chants such as "one stand bigger than your ground" I apologise for them, very disrespectful.

Not sure on our numbers Tuesday night but we've sold out every league aways game for a 3pm saturday this season and averaged over 19,000 at home.

With the current financial state of the country it is hard for fans to make every game, we've had 3 away games in 10 days, you, Bristol Rovers and MK Dons, the latter 2 have both sold out 2,100 and 4,700 respectively, strange they chose the other as I reckon those 2 will get nowhere near Tuesday night for enjoyment for me.

Many other fans in this league have said we've been a breath of fresh air compared to the Leeds, Forest and Sheff etc. So these comments are slightly out of the blue.
