"Wayne Brown is very lucky not have a broken leg" (after a challenge in the second half).

Did anyone see it? Cause I must have been at the bog or something...

If I remember rightly, We got a freekick for it. Even though Monkhouse went in over the ball on Brown. But I dont think it was a broken leg though. Looked a bit naughty from Monkhouse but the ref thought it was a free kick to us

Oh god, I thought Walter Mitty Shithead had a reputation for being quite intelligent. I've just read his comments on Leicester's site and he comes across like Martin bloody Scott. Yeah but no but yeah but no but...

"I'm disappointed that we conceded late on... but these things happen."
"We had opportunities to clear... but we didn't."
"We are very disappointed that we didn't see the game out... but sometimes things don't quite go your way"
"We didn't really pass the ball very well in the first half... but I thought that we were a lot better after the break."
"Full credit to Hartlepool for making it difficult for us... but we weren't at our best."
"It's another point in the right direction... but it should have been three."
"Some of the circumstances were disappointing tonight... but we move on."

What a loon. Even Scotty would not have come out with all that garbage

it was a freekick to us and that brown fella did it himself so if he had broken his leg it was his own fault.....

Walter Mitty Shithead is a bit like Bryan Robson. They both have the charisma of a mass grave.

It's a bit worrying if the boss doesn't know how old he is.

when he said the fans have to be patient because he is only 20/21 and he hasnt had much league football and is as good a keeper as anyone in this division i did wonder if he had got him mixed up with cook.

The most baffling thing was in the Mail when Turner said "If people look back two or three years, big Dimi had to go through this and have a bit of stick"

stpid sctatchinghead

When was this? I'd suggest he isn't very clued up on this subject as he was manager of Stockport County at the time. I remember Dimi having to wait for his chance but when he got it everyone recognised he was a very good keeper from the outset. He did get dropped a couple of times but he did have someone properly competing for his place in Provett (who'd won player of the year in the previous season keeping Dimi out of the team). Dimi didn't get stick Chris, because Dimi wasn't painfully out of his depth.

I remember Dimi's debut against Macclesfield in the League Cup and although he didnt have much to do he still looked like a decent reliable keeper.

And he had a few odd moments (not as many as ALB or Budtz though) but he kept improving.

Dimi was getting some dodgy reviews for his performances in our reserve team if I remember rightly. He obviously improved. Hopefully ALB can too but im not convinced

Funny how the topic for discussion was "Walter Mitty Shithead" yet it's developed into yet another "let's have a go at ALB thread". Surely there are enough of them already without the need to create another one. taz taz

I concur.

And it's also funny how certain people want to have selective memories about Dimi cos of how good he turned out to be. He was in and out of the team early doors and was decidedly dodgy when he first arrived here. Whichever message board we were on at the time was full of know alls saying that they would volunteer to drive him back to Greece.

No the topic was about the Leicester manager's comments, I highlighted some comments from our own manager which I didn't agree with. Why do people keep bringing Dimi into this anyway? What has Dimi got to do with ALB's performances? People are suggesting that Dimi was 'dodgy for the reserves' when he first came, well that didn't really bother me as he wasn't costing the first team any goals or any points. He got into the team when his concentration improved and Provett had a dip in form, we currently have nobody else being considered for ALB's shirt. Let's forget about Dimi he has nothing (sadly) to do with our current situation, I find it extremely patronising that people think we don't rate ALB because Dimi was a good keeper stpid

I'd also love to know when Dimi went through a difficult period with the crowd that Turner mentions, it quite simply didn't happen.

Turner seems to rate ALB so I'll get behind him and certainly him won't be giving him any audible stick while he's wearing a Pools shirt (as I haven't in the past) but it doesn't mean to say I'll think he's good enough to be playing at this level, he's got a long way to improve before that. It appears Turner is trying to blame the crowd for the lad making mistakes, for me his comments put him under even more pressure.

Forgive me - the title at the top of the thread was "Walter Mitty Shithead".
