Maybe of more interest to the older Poolies, but also for those younger ones who fancy a little more nostalgia after last nights feast of history.

This Thursday the Millhouse is proud to present, AN EVENING WITH TONY PARRY from around 8.30pm

There's a £1 cover charge (no tickets required) and we'll probably have a raffle, apparently this guy has loads of interesting tales to tell and from recent reactions is still held in very high esteem by those fans who saw him play back in the 60's and 70's.

I'm on nights otherwise I'd have gone but I hope it gets the turnout it deserves. The bloke was well before my time but am sure he's got some good stories to tell.

Would be good if you could get a few more nights like this for the future Codyakker!

Top man, top crack apparently. Well worth a nip in if you've got the chance.

I'm sure he has, but maybe he learned from them rather than repeating them.

From what I have read he comes across a decent down to earth bloke, can you imagine a footballer living in Sherriff Street these days.

To be fair, I think Sheriff Street was a lot better back then.

Did Tony Parry do this too whilst at Pools, or are you getting confused with Bob Newton?

Like you say, I hope he gets a good turnout, if it goes well we will do more of the same.
