Pools have turned down an offer from Gateshead for Mackay! They offered £5,000, and also asked about a loan deal. Apparently they've recently sold a striker to Huddersfield for £100,000.

I think we need to keep all of our players till the end of the season to get us through even if he isnt very good with the injury records of our now 3 forwards would be crazy to let him go till atleast the summer.

They should've thrown in a box of kippers that surely would've swung the deal.

We should of accepted that bid.

It frees a space in the squad for a loan signing and it wouldn't have been a bad move for Mackay, he would playing at his natural level (even just above) and would probably get decent money, Gateshead are on the up. Also they don't have linesmen down at that level you see thus eradicating the chance of him being permanently offside.

He's never going to be good enough for Pools, he's had a go but it's not going to happen.

He's fooked then.

PS. I was being facetious, Gateshead could be playing in the conference next season they are second in the Blue Square North. I think it would be a good move for Mackay.
