Does the Christmas Tree still get traditionally offered by some Scandinavian town or another?

i find the problem with the fish shops is you rarely get fresh fish now nearly always frozen
and the potatoes are of poor quality for chips only any good for crisping

moan over

I was always in either Kenny Johnsons on the Fens (cracking patties) or Don Bee's at Seaton. I rarely bother now because it's all crap inland. Golden Griddle at Scarborough or Princess Fish Bar in Whitby and that's your lot.

If you're up Whitley Bay way - not that there would be a reason for it now Spanish City has closed - keep on going another couple of miles and go to the chippy at Seaton Sluice - about two hundred metres from my house.
Its a cracker - always excellent fish and chips. Its a Gills chippy and supposedly they're always quality.
Once a fortnight at least. Fish, chips, mushy peas and never anything else
I'm starving now

I have to say the best I've had are at a chip shop in Anstruther which is on the Fife coast.

Instead of getting one normal sized fish, you get three smaller ones. Apparently the smaller ones have better flesh quality and I'd agree. the owners of the chip shop own the fishing boats, and everything they cook is caught that day. The chips were spot on too, no black or green bits, and none of those potato 'hairs' either.

If there's one thing that would stop me being vegetarian, it's lush FBS&K's.  I just saw some in Sainsbury's and I wobbled a bit but stayed on the perch.

Eaten with a spoon out of the tin.

Shit, where's me car keys......

I believe they are brothers along with the bloke that runs Hardwicke Hall in Hesledon.

Although the portion sizes are top notch from Bradleys they do charge more than most of the chippies in town, last time I was there Eddie Ellwood there getting his tea.

That depends that does.

Every one knows you have your dinner in the middle of the day and your tea three quarters of the way through.

These people who have dinner at tea time are just out of kilter.
