I wonder if any of them were amongst the 3,000 crowd they had against Port Vale when they had to play at Pools

every Boro fan I've spoken to was at the game in the Vic back then. If you believe them there was at least 20,000 at that game..........

I f***** hate Boro and never forgave Smart for letting them borrow our ground. The only thing we have ever had in return in over 20 years was Mickey Barron (...and at a push Liddle).

Crap Stadium, crap fans, crap team and currently 3 down at Fulham, so there is a god after all.

Rant over.

there were hundreds of Pools fans in the ground as well, out of curiosity to see the game, plus around 300 Port Vale fans, I reckon you'll be lucky if there were 2,500 Boro fans in the ground

that was a disgrace - even I felt embarrassed for them that night.
They are the shittest of all supporters in the four leagues. Crap wankers.

The borers have a reported debt of £93 million  ..... and are also talking up having to live within their means in future, that means more through the gates and more commercially, shirts etc, it's raising their profile time and like the big supermarkets wipe out the local shops, these outfits need to clear the competition, regardless of size, out of the way, because that's the way it's gonna go in future. Don't forget, the club that has the ear of the local media, holds all the cards, ... and the general public are now pretty thick when it comes to listening to what the media tells them.

exactly......stuff like that is part of the strategy to discredit Pools (and Darlo) - so that the insecure types daren't align themselves with either.....and hopefully in their eyes will turn their allegiance to the kiddy fiddlers.
If they start a recruitment campaign in Hartlepool, we should start a terror campaign against them. Mr I will fill us in on the details.
We would have to ally ourselves with Darlo unfortunately in the short term, because we would both have the same common enemy

Let the smoggie B*****ds have their fun, at the end of the day their "England star" Downing will be leaving them in January and the Yorkshire club will be struggling to retain their current status, and out of all the premiership games I've watched this season, their ground always looks the emptier

Exactly Mr Parmo, football has developed into a soap opera in many respects and as you'd associate with a film hero as a kid, so football is sold to this younger generation in a very similar way. Radio Tees have aided this creeping monopolisation by allowing a boro only phone in on Saturday tea times, excluding the likes of Pools and Darlo from public perception and pushing their profile down bit by bit under the guidance of the grand wizard of all things borer.
I was told they have the highest percentage of women supporters with season tickets in the Premiership, I also notice they have to have a big name signing every summer usually to keep the interest of their notoriously fickle floating supporters alive, signing a brilliant lower league prospect is out of the question, as this would go completely over the heads of the new supporters.
Anyone foolish enough to think Darlo is your enemy is not looking over their own shoulder, Pools and Darlo can be piss taking rivals for eternity, but they'll never threaten each others excistence .... the greedy boys can.

I have a half pissed extremely vague plan for our attack.

We could tell POK that Middlesbrough FC were threatening the future of the Eurovision song contest. This would be enough to persuade the eccentric student to enter the Riverside with a backpack loaded with explosives in the style of a rag head.

Two birds with one stone and all that, without involving the Loids.

It would be more humane for us all to chip in and get POK hypnotised to believe he's a borer fan...... it would be like letting the plague loose in 'Ayresome by the Backwater' and their messageboards would be popping fuses by the bucketload under his camp electro magnetic impulse type assault.

i said this many moons ago that pok is the ultimate secret weapon to let loose on other boards and named him "apokalypse now"

If there's one team I simply cannot stand, it's the Smoggies. Fooking arrogant pricks. I'd be delighted to see them get relegated this season.

To be fair, I don't know many Darlo fans personally that have a soft spot for the Smoggies.

Sadly, it's not the norm. A hell of a lot of Darlo "fans" also support Boro.

You try finding a Pools fan that also follows The Smoggies..I certainly don't know ANY Pools fans who have anything but contempt for the kiddy-diddling tvvats.

I agree! I tend to just laugh at Boro as they are absolutley crap in the Premier League! Theres always empty seats on show at the BT Cellnet, O2 , Garmin, Ayresome Riverside Stadium.

Granted they won the League Cup and got to the UEFA Cup Final, But when they got to that UEFA Cup Final they got totally outclassed and that was damn funny!!

Well the Guy that runs your Rivals board is a part-time Smoggie, as is the person that runs Loidland Dot Com..so theres two for starters, running your top messageboards....

I don't know if that is the case, but I don't know them personally. I do know Scott has attended a few Boro games in his time, but I don't know whether Loidland_Dot_Com has.

I don't agree with it either. I simply cannot understand those people who refer to other teams as "we". Surely there is only one "we"?

Certainly is. How can people do it??!! I equate it to being unfaithful to your Wife. I always think people who have another club are potential bigamists too! rolfl

It's also normally these same people who claim to be "[insert team name here] till I die" and "hardcore fans". It really makes my piss boil.

More disturbing is the the fact that our crowd this weekend was the lowest in league 1 and the 3rd or 4th lowest out of league 2 sadx
Even Cheltenham got more. What is wrong with people in this town, I know there's a recession etc.... but 3100 for a league 1 game with a new manager in place is very poor.

Daft argument this. Here's the score.

It was the last home match before Christmas.
That particular Friday is probably the biggest piss-up of the year due to Colleges and Works closing for Christmas.
Practically everyone is struggling cash wise.
The weather conditions were mental.

All this adds up for a low attendance.

Look at the positives...
We won
We played some lovely stuff
We kept a clean sheet
We played as a team
The next game will be post xmas
We have the Stoke game to come

All this will add extra to the gate.

It really is that simple.
