Just found this from the Coventry telegraph news paper about Kyle. Draw your own conclusions from the article.

We should get a Sunderland player on loan who isn't getting a game. Healey? Connolly? Murphy?

How? You cant extend a loan after 3 months.

he does not represent value for money for a club like Pools, two goals last night or not. He drains far too much money, he is simply not worth it for Hartlepool United.
We need him to be scoring hat tricks every game for what he's on. There have got to be cheaper options, who are more suited to our division and free up a few more quid for players in other areas. If the reports are correct on what he's reputedly earning, it's an obscene amount for a League One player!!! Especially at a club like Pools.
This highlights a more underlying problem of too many average players earning obscene amounts of money for playing football, even way below the top level of the game

I don't think he is costing any more than the well paid players who are already at the club. He's not playing for Madrid or Barcelona so he ain't on 100k at Coventry. Probably more like 3 or 4k a week. Pools are allegedly paying half of that.

jesus christ, leave the fookin bloke alone !!

is he the new escape goat now that matty's playing ok and foley is dropped ?

his performances have been inconsistent, but last night i thought he was excellent.

to assert that he wouldn't contemplate signing for pools is one assumption too far  . don't forget there are two sides to his future. he can't guarantee that we'll buy him, so why should he cup-tie himself with us when it could affect the right sort of move for him ?

give your crystal balls another rub, chiplet, and tell me how he would play if he DID sign for us, cos you seem to have a handle on everything else

I think he's a player a lot of Pools fans would be happy to see here if he plays as well as he can, but also only if his salary was the going rate for a club like Pools. There's simply no way we could, or should, break the wage structure for Kyle

Totally agree with you Aido87.There is a section of fans baying for his head.
Believe me he's not the only £3 grand plus player a week at the club. banghead

unlike you mr aido, i actually go to some of the away games, where frankly, he has been utter gash. i will be at scunny on boxing day, and huddersfield and brighton in january too.

ive said a boatload of times that he has had some very good games at home, usually against poor opposition like, but he deffo puts himself about.

ive also said a boatload of times its impossible to judge how good he actually is because he is a target man playing in a side without wingers. i mean, at what point was he going to get service last night from our right hand side with jones there ?

put him in the right team in our division and he would deffo do a job.

i fail to see how this makes him a "scapegoat"

like others, i simply think for the money it would cost to get him, we would be better off strengthening elsewhere. i cant recall him scoring a goal away from the vic, or even looking like a good player away from home, unlike say watson or gabbiadini before him.

for the record i was one of the few that persistently defended robson both on here and in monkey business and have done likewise for foley.

im more than happy to bet you a tenner that kyle doesnt see the season out at pools tho.

i agree totally that inconsistency has been his problem and the reason why people haven't warmed to him. some of the goons in the cyril however wouldn't know effort if it bit them in the scrotum other than jan ove, can you name another loan signing at pools that has contributed to the team like kyle's goals have done ?

that's a genuine question chip.

You better start go looking for Lawrence then. You will get a shock at what one or two players are on down there.

haven't got duffy's stats to hand, and couldn't confirm how much he was getting paid. in the same way, no-one has a clue what kyle is on here, but he's said that money wasn't the sole motivator for him coming here (proximity to his son).

loan signings at pools who have an impact are fookin thin on the ground, so it seems a bit of a waste of energy attacking one who has done a half decent job, if only at home.

and chip, the dig about the away games is equally pointless. you know nothing about me or my circumstances at home.

chip fireball -

You must be the only person on the net who is privy to the players wages, even the player are not sure what the other’s are being paid.

AGM was a lump sum of salary accounts and to try to dived that figure into individual salaries is impossible. Hence the reason for the way it is published.
