Ground Capacity - 3,497
Average capacity 2008 - 842

Are we going to get the rest of the tickets then seen as though they only sell that many?

We'll sell whatever you give us I'd imagine.

We have Leeds on Saturday and because we took nearly three thousand last season they (Ken Bates) think they can charge us £27 for third tier football, loads of people have said fook that, I'd rather go to Fleetwood!!

Looking forward to the visit of Hartlepool, one of the biggest matches in Fleetwood's history. We've got a compact ground centrally siuated in the town. Good "Free Parking" round the ground, so shouldn't be a problem if you come by car. Just be careful not to block anydody's driveway thanks. Now that the "Memorial North Stand" is complete I would have thought the capacity will be around 4,300 and in my view will be segregated though don't know this for certain. The North Stand is terraced for 2,000. Hartlepool will have the "Percy Ronson South Stand" end.

This link will show a panoramic picture of the ground looking towards the North Stand from the Percy Ronson Stand. Taken a few days before the season started the North Stand was still under construction. On the right of the photo is where the new 1200 seater stand will be situated.

http://www.dalesandvaleswalks.co.uk/fleetwoodtownfc/forum/2008-08-19_03.html

Hope we can give you a game

Looks like a really nice little ground does that. I'm gutted i cant make it. However, everyone i know who is going is staying over in Blackpool so i dont think there will be a massive problem with cars blocking drives etc

This is from Fleetwood's official site: you want the third article down on the home page.

http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/

We're going to be featured on ITV's Cup Highlights Programme.

Brand new floodlights and they are up to Football League Standards. After a recent league match somebody forgot to turn off the lights and they were still on at 8.30am the following day. Don't think we can afford the leckie bill ! ! !

Fa rules restrict a team moving a game to another ground, nowadays for financial reasons, can only be moved on safety grounds/police advice. So even if the ground held only 500, with an away end of 50 it would have to be held there. Though temporary stands meeting safety rules could be erected.

Bloody season ticket holders eh?

I think you'll be fine, can't see many more than 1000 wanting to go so aslong as you don't wait till the last minute.

I'm looking forward to this one more than Leeds on Saturday. rolf

You're probably right.

But if there are any season ticket holders who aren't going...

The FA Cup could well turn out to be a little gold mine, 1st round prize money 20k + share of the poxy gate receipts and replay gare receipts, 2nd round TV highlights money 7,500 quid and 30k proze money for the winner. Then the prize money & the televised games money gets serious with 70k for the winners and here is a list of tv money.

Round / Live Broadcast / Live Replay Broadcast / Highlights

First Round Proper £75,000 / £37,500 / £7,500

Second Round Proper £80,000 / £40,000 £7,500

Third Round Proper £160,000 /£80,000 / £7,500

Fourth Round Proper £160,000 / £80,000 / £7,500

Fifth Round Proper £275,000 / £137,500 / £7,500

Sixth Round Proper £275,000 / £137,500 / £7,500

I've just found out a fellow Poolie is going next Saturday and I will be accepting his kind invitation to go - haven't been to a Cup game since Brentford (a) under Cooper when my Kiwi cousin went. clappp clappp

I can't believe they aren't doing any prices for students though. What's the point of having this special status if you can't claim the benefit of it ? banghead

Mind you Fleetwood must be taking the proverbial with the name of their ground, musn't they - HIGHBURY stadium.

If you must know, the French for "droll" must actually have a circumflex accent on top of the o in the middle.

So that's why you get for trying to be a nitpicker.
