Anyone who says we have turned the corner defensively with exactly the same back five as when goals were flying into the net of their own accord must be ... er ... a liar?

Has someone said that like?

Who said his celebrations were ott ?
I havent watched any tv coverage, but from what I remember on saturday he went over the the Orient fans & acknowledged them, took the congratulations from his team mates then got on with the game.Perfectly acceptable as far as i was concerned.

Barrett looks like he couldn't stretch for anything further than six inches past his elbow - deflection or no deflection.
As for Humphreys - if he's a left back I should be playing for Pools. How utterly bad was he in those clips? Don't watch the ball - watch him and see how ineffective he is at defending.

his team mates slide on their knees towards the orient fans but boyd himself seems to show no emotion whatsoever. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

I said Boyd slid on his knees - he did, if I remember right he even punched the air as he was obviously thrilled to have scored. I also said it wasn't a Westwood type of celebration, I stand by that statement too. I also said it was to a corner which wasn't where we were sat, and that was also true. I am not saying whether Boyds celebrations were OTT or not, it is open to personal opinion, and Boydy has every right to celebrate however he likes but that link didn't show any of his celebration so you have incorrectly commented on something you didn't see and the pictures didn't show.

I don't think they will have had more than one camera at the game Chip, do you? If they didn't then it was one hell of a fast move for the one camera to suddenly go from the goal to the corner of the pitch without any blur whatsoever don't you think???

I know people claimed Boyd was overweight at times when he was at Pools but I don't think I would have mistaken him for two players

I am confident that my eyesight at Orient was better than yours.

my eyesight is very bad. if im in the town end i cant see as far as the rink end. but ive been in the town end when pools have scored at the town end and people have turned and said " who scored?"

I remember at my first non-darlo away game, Rochdale, I think it was 1985 or 1986. We won 2-0. John Borthwick scored at our end. I asked my mate who scored, he said Borthwick. I didn't believe him even though I saw it with my own eyes!

that said,if im being 100 per cent honest, i dont really care about boyds goal celebration.

Me neither, just wanted to defend myself after my description of his celebrations had doubt cast upon it. I was, however, miffed that he had the sheer audacity to score against us in the first place...

Wilson's comments that we defended well weren't how I saw it. They hit the post or bar three times and missed the target altogether on a couple on occasions from absolute sitters at least two free headers and thats forgetting the other shooting opportunities they had. We obviously didn't defend very well as a team to give them so many scoring opportunities. Obviously when we concede one or less regardless of the opposition we have defended well.

We were crap I wish at times he'd just say that.

Wison, like a lot of managers prefers to talk up the positives, whilst ignoring the defences performance ..... and emphasising the scoreline e.g 'it was only 1-0 and so close' is merely diverting the general audiences eyes away from the obvious failings. It's like flying back from holiday on a plane that nearly crashes several times and when you finally make it back home and land and ask what was going on you're told... 'what's all the fuss about, you made it back didn't you?'... but we all know that's not the full story.

I think we could do with a bit of a shake up at the back. How about dropping one of the centre halves and putting Ben in there and putting Liddle at left back?

too obvious............................nah let's leave it as it is and concede ten easy opportunities for the opposition to score every week.

Hang on I've turned into Danny Wilson
