Saw that, what I found ironic was the American General Pershing who really did see the big picture. When the Germans asked for the Armistice because they were on their knees and on the verge of collapse, he alone wanted to reject it and carry on the war, he said it would be worth a few thousand more casualties to carry on all the way to Berlin and make them surrender unconditionally, because ...unless you show the Germans they're well and truly beaten, so they can't blame someone else, we'll only have to come back in twenty years and do the job all over again...prophetic...?
