A mate at work is a QPR season ticket holder and he tells me both the Rangers fans and Man U fans are up in arms as the Rangers owners will not reduce the ticket prices for the upcoming League Cup match.

Man U offered the tickets at £10 and £15 but Rangers want no reduction ie. the £40 usual premier price as they get 40% of the gate receipts.

Rangers have been offered 6,000 tickets but can only pay by telephone ie. £3 booking fee and have to get the tickets delivered by registered mail ie. another £4 odd. Min price £48 before they even set off and all to watch Manu U reserves

The League or FA should have a maximum price setting for tickets in order to protect the average fan. The owners of QPR are another example of people who have no interest in football but are just looking to make a quick buck by exploiting football fans. I would imagine that quite a lot of those supporters have been following their club for most of their lives, only for these greedy batsards to come in and start ripping them off. As if they haven't got enough money already, they are the same people who have plunged the world into a financial crisis through their insatiable greed

It's strange isn't it, Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore are obsenely rich and were alledged to be pumping money into QPR. Maybe they were misquoted and were just planning to pump into QPR.
