In the early 90s me dad got me the 'Guinness Who's Who of Indie' book one Christmas, which gave details of just about every indie band since punk. I was into the Fieldmice at the time, and looked 'em up. I was delighted to see that a gadgie from Hartlepool was in them, as Janick Gers was the only person from the town ever reported to have made it musically.

Imagine my surprise a couple of years ago, when I found out that Monkey Bizz columnist Chip Fireball was none other than said Fieldmouse.

It's true what they say though, you should never meet your heroes as they always disappoint. :wink:
