Book Help Needed!!!!

I'm looking for a book and I THINK it might be called 'Away Days'!!!! confised

It's wrote by a bloke who goes to various matches around the country and shares his experiences of the games etc!!!! confised

Pools v darlo are in it and he mentions that some Skinheads set fire to a darlo scarf and that it was like been back in the 70's!!!! :shock:

It also mentions Boro v QPR and some trouble at half-time and another Skinhead gets hoyed out the ground!!!! :shock:

Has anyone read the book and if so what is the title of it????

I don't think Awaydays is the one you're looking for Mr Mutley - Awaydays is a fictional account of Tranmere's "lads" in the 80s - not a bad read but no skins setting fire to darlo scarves in it (shame like, you can't beat a burning darlo scarf IMHO :laugh:

).

The book you mention is called 'Playing at Home' by John Aizlewood, published by Orion in 1998. I have a copy which you can borrow if you get in touch.

Well worth every penny. I particularly like the final paragraph of the Pools chapter where he is in Bikini's fun bar.
