Hurricane Gustav the 7th hurricane so far this year.

Used to be named solely after women. Probably because they wet and wild when they come and they take your house when they leave. Yes an old one but the old one's are the best.

Them being named solely after women ceased in about 1978/79, and are named alternately now after both sexes. And before asked it the 7th of the year as they begin every year with an A and proceed alphabetically after that. Here's the list of the next lot for the rest of the year.

Hanna
Ike
Josephine
Kyle
Laura
Marco
Nana
Omar
Paloma
Rene
Sally
Teddy
Vicky
Wilfred

One's already used are

Arthur
Bertha
Cristobal
Dolly
Edouard
Fay
Gustav

There are 6 lists, that rotate and a name is only retired,as the hurricane centre put it when it so devastating another name then replaces it.

Here endeth today's lesson.

Can you tell I'm bored.

'Hanna' is already in use as there's currently a Tropical Storm in the North Atlantic that will likely reach Hurricane Force.

It's a good job you instructed them to leave there poolie kent, if anyone in new orleans, reading this board, and who didn't know about the hurricane, would now be well instructed to evacuate.

Well done.

Your wasted on this board.
