Paris Angels - superb, shame they only had one album in them.

Slow Bongo Floyd - I thought I was one of about ten people in Britain to have heard them. The only thing of theirs I own is a cassingle of 'Open up your heart' which was one of the best songs of the early 90s I reckon.

How are many of them underrated sctatchinghead

When I am at work we have Metro Radio on and during the day Pink must be on at least 4 or 5 times

Well at least you've heard of them for them to be under rated. If the thread was called 'bands that no one rates' then the majority of acts mentioned in this thread should be there because no one does rate them or people would of actually heard of some of them.

For me this stuff knocks spots off yer Hawleys and the like who, to be quite frank, I just don't get. I do like the Leadmill though and havin' seen Wyclef (amongst others) for free at Heaton park (Manchester) courtesy of radio 1 I have to say Reith was spot on.

PJ Harvey - an icon and a real woman compared to yer sleeper gal. But is she underated. As the single most iconic women in rock (for me) I would say yes. The girl makes Patti Smith look tame doesn't she?

Cornershop - check out 'Handcream for a generation' top album.
Louis XIV - 2 damn fine albums
The Kills - 3 very good albums even if the live show has lost its edge
Mr David Viner - The best singer songwriter around at the minute
The Waterboys - Consistently good for the last 25 years.

Budapest - brilliant live, critically adored, completely ignored.

Polyphonic Spree - shambolically great

Denim - robbed by the gulf war.

Family Cat - had a Hammond

House Of Love - The only band to do a Walker Brothers track better than the Walker Brothers.

Breckonshire Dyeworks - best tour I ever went on.
