Not defending the bloke like but what the hell do a referee's non-football business dealings (still at the allegation stage) have to do with the sporting authorities?

He shouldn't be banned. Just deduct him 10 points for going bust (or is it 15 points or 17 points or 30 points?)

its typical of teh FA getting involved in things they shouldnt.

Clattenberg is one of the best referees in the country and this matter should not interfeer with the Football. Load of Shit

in employment law, some companies can still stipulate terms of employment relating to bankruptcy. I had to ask my employer that question directly a couple of months ago, as it was becoming very pertinent to me at the time.
As it happens, my employer does not attach any conditions of employment relating to any of its employees becoming bankrupt, i.e. I could keep my job in any case!! Not that it mattered ultimately, as I managed to resolve the problem (only just).
I have read some message boards relating to IVA's and bankruptcy, and quite a few people who posted messages were summarily dismissed from their place of employment as a direct result of being declared/declaring themselves bankrupt.

It will depend on the stance/ terms and conditions of the football authorities relating to such matters. Laws should be passed preventing employers from doing this to people when they are down and out, because it's a historical stigma and in the case of a failed business is nothing to be ashamed about (unless of course it was to cover for illegal activities)

A game against the Trannymagnets in the LDV Paint Daffy Duck Mickey Mouse Cup is the first one that springs immediately to mind, and he came back after that once or twice with similar dire consequences (one of them was around Christmas time one year but I can't remember who against now).

And the other one was the 0-0 with the loids, October 2006, when he deliberately gave us fk all cos they'd paid the bastad.

I think the football authorities are taking him out of the firing line because if he or associates have some kind of financial situation and he gives a dodgy decision somewhere the accusations would come pouring in thick and fast.
I would suggest that they are just avoiding that scenario before it happens.
Quite prudent I would say.

I am obviously not suggesting that he would do anything improper.

there's deffo bent refs like.
As much as the Sheff Wed fans have conveniently forgotten the fact they were "awarded" their place in the Championship, it doesn't take away the fact that the Sheff Wed striker and the ref CHEATED that day. FACT. I would have admitted it if it had been Pools given the decision, "Yes we cheated to win."
They won't admit it though.
That ref needs his arse flesh sealing together by a blacksmith.

I was most disappointed that people didn't give dogs abuse to that cheating little rarf Drew Talbot when we played Luton at the Vic last season. We didn't need to really it was funny enough just watching his and Luton's performance on the day. The funniest thing is some bloke who used to manage us (his name escapes me.. Sue?) paid half a million quid for him.

Maybe the deduction should have been more than 30 points rolfl

Aye I remember that - Didn't he lose the plot with a descision in the first half? Was something to do with their keeper.

He just looked lost.

"Above chopped a bit"

Any company that is regulated by the FSA such as banks, credit companies, debt collectors etc have to be "squeaky clean" Anyone advising on money has to be clean although someone like myself who had 14 creditors with 9 petitioning for bancruptcy could advise others the best way to go because I've been there done that etc. I'm sure parmo is also well versed in the relevent legislation but the companies don't see it that way.

Utillity companies have the "discretion" to keep employees but new employees are forbidden if they have an IVA, Bancrupcy or even
CCJ's.

the biggest problem is most creditors won't wait for their money, even if you prove you have the means to pay it over a sensible period of time, including interest.
If you go bankrupt and you have got f**k all in comparison to the total debt, then they are gonna lose out big time. However I stood to lose a lot if that happened.
My problem was cash flow - my assets outweighed my liabilities considerably, plus the joint household income is now really good - but despite this I had to get my hands on equity from my buy-to-let property to settle with the impatient bast-ards. There's nobody to talk to it seems - only telephone operatives who stick to the company rules!!!
Did I tell everyone to NEVER, that's NEVER, take out a pub lease?
