I gigged at the Cumberland two months ago - read a piece of my novel out; went well.
Its my usual start off pub before I wander down to the Cluny
Only band I've seen in there (as far as I can remember) is the Ukelele All Stars
I know someone's mam in them

That'll be The Ship. I lived near the Ouseburn Valley a couple of years ago, so me and my mates would regularly do the Ouseburn pub crawl. As someone said, quality beer and nice little pubs. I like the Cumberland, some of the regulars can be cocks but it's a very decent pint. The last time I was in we got kicked out of one room to make way for a ukelele club, very strange. I can think of only one gig I've been to there and that was Euros Childs a few years ago.

On a Tindersticks note, 'Can Our Love...' has been getting played to death this summer.
