Option no.2 for me, 3,500 to 4,000.

Although I'd love to be pleasantly surprised and there be more.

Curiosity, wanting to wear the new shirt after champing at the bit in beer gardens, or simply continuing the average attendance - they all point to that kind of crowd.

4-4,500 for me

I think there'll be at least 3-400 Col U fans an'all - full of optimism for promotion after 2 seasons in the Championship, and certainly not disgracing themselves while they were there. Also their new stadium, first game of the season, get the longest one out of the way and everyone makes an effort to go to it etc etc - they'll have a feelgood factor of 10 on a scale of 10 right now.

I went for 3500-4000 as pools wil hav about 3300 and colchester wont bring over 500 as it is about a 6 hour drive

I'm expecting 4500-5000 for Saturday's game. New season - should be a lot of support there to will Pools on and it shouldn't unnecessarily disappear like last season when numbers declined just before the worst times.

The credit crunch is no excuse either.

I heard the other day we've shifted around 3,000 season tickets. Not sure how true that is but surely it would be a good sign if it was. Surely record sales?

No, because the "credit crunch" is a load of bolox.

It's really a recession that has been "spun" by the government spin doctors to try and make it sound like it's everybody's fault but their's.

I've gone 3500 to 4000. nowt to do with credit crunch just to do with a general apathy pre season.
a few wins will bring us all round ,but for me I haven't missed footy at all this summer(I didnt watch the euros) and its the same for a lot of my pools based family/friends.
