Aren't there two types of people we're talking about here? Hooligans who aren't racist and hooligans who are racist? Not mutually exclusive like.

Is the film any good?

If you liked The Football Factory and Green Street you might like it but the under lying theme was for this black lad to be accepted.
The abuse he took growing up pushed him to football violence were he found acceptance it made me realise one thing that black people are no different to white people.

Sounds worth a look. I thought the Football Factory and Green Street were alright in a cartoon/comic type of way. And I'm very glad that the darlo lad watched Green Street and put on the St John ambulance jacket and made his way to take on 4,000 of us single-handedly, that will continue to make me chuckle for some time to come!

There's certainly a few racists in some of Cass Pennant's books but they aren't gonna admit it to him, are they?

For the record I do not think Mutley is racist!

It was also the films premiere too.
I enjoyed the first half which dealt with his growing up & the difficulties he faced, but found the last half to be a bit predictable.
Mutleys dead right about the soundrack,a top set of tunes

I Meant he was brought up by white parents and he was racially abused by black people because they saw him as a coconut brown outside white inside so racism is not a oneway street.
Thought that someone would jump on that sentence and i was not dissappointed.

I understand the term is 'choc ice' and blokes like Cass Pennant couldn't do right for doing wrong. The ICF book is an eye opening read and the sequel, while being a bit self indulgent, probably in the edit, should be standard reading in Young Offenders Centres. Even if all you're good at is being hard, you can make something of yourself.

Unlike Joe Hawkins eh Mr Mutley??
